Did you read the story about the church that is offering free $500 gas cards if you visit their services? Apparently, if you fill out a card at the beginning, and you can sit through the rest, one lucky name will be drawn out of the offering plate at the end of the hour and a winner will be declared. The article does not mention if participation in the altar call is a condition, too.
I’d be interested in hearing how it all turns out. If it doesn’t work, never fear, the church can always hire these guys. Watch the DREAM ushers below.
thanks Brad and Eric for the posts.

this is probably the same church that gives away a car on special New Years Eve services in order to get people in the seats. Giving into the "whats in it for me" generation. Sad very very sad. Wouldn't see something like this on a Walton's television show.
Hope you have a good writing day

wow, i'd have to say that's a new one. Snellville is actually a pretty affluent suburb if i'm thinking of the right place.
also, how would you like to be on that train. can you imagine the smell? what would you do if you had to get off at the next stop and you were somewhere in the middle? fun, fun.
Why must there often be a gimmick to get people to go to church?
And...I'd hate to be on that train!
maybe they have a new worship leader and are just so excited to be there (NOT)
I could've used those Dream Ushers when I was trying to get into last summer's capris.
